Welcome to Vikki Cooks

For decades, my kitchen has been my favorite place to create. From making fresh handmade pasta and rich sauces to baking sweet treats, I simply love the joy of cooking.

After years of people asking when I was going to open my own restaurant, I decided to build this space instead!

Whether I’m preparing a simple meal for one or catering for a party of twenty-plus, my goal is to share easy, delicious recipes that make great food approachable for everyone.

Forty Years in the Making

My love for cooking started four decades ago with simple, honest ingredients. As a child, I spent hours picking fresh fruit in the garden of my childhood home, turning seasonal harvests into my very first homemade jams and chutneys. That early joy of taking raw ingredients and turning them into something wonderful to share never left me.

Over the last 26 years of running my own home and raising my children, the kitchen has been the heart of everything. Through thousands of weeknight dinners, family celebrations, weekend bakes, and quiet moments over a hot meal, I’ve refined the art of cooking real food for real life.

Now that my children are fully grown, I’m opening up my kitchen notebook to you. Vikki Cooks was built to take the guesswork out of everyday meals. Whether you’re looking to stretch your weekly grocery budget, master basic techniques, or create memorable dishes for the people you love, you'll find reliable, straightforward recipes designed to work in any home kitchen.

Pull up a chair, take a look around, and let’s get cooking!

My Goal

My goal is to help you feed your family well without overspending. I share practical recipes, smart supermarket savings, seasonal eating ideas, and simple ways to turn garden surpluses into delicious meals. I'll also show you how to get the most out of kitchen gadgets (like soup makers and slow cookers) and preserve your harvest through easy jams, pickling, and dehydrating so nothing goes to waste.
